Cookie Policy

What we store on your device, why, and how to control it.

1. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies and similar technologies (local storage) are small pieces of data saved in your browser. Faltan uses them to keep you signed in, remember your choices, and — only with your consent — measure aggregate usage.

2. Strictly necessary (always on)

These are required for the app to work, so they don't need consent: the Supabase session cookies (`sb-*`) that keep you signed in, a preference cookie (`faltan_geo`, about 30 days) that remembers your approximate country/region, and local storage that holds your collection, your language and your consent choices on this device. Without these the app cannot function.

3. Analytics (optional, off until you accept)

To understand how the app is used we may load Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies (`_ga`, `_ga_*`). These are disabled by default and only load after you accept in the cookie banner — until then the analytics script isn't even downloaded. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Where we use a privacy-friendly tool (Plausible) it runs without cookies and without identifying you.

4. Managing your choice

Use the cookie banner to accept or decline optional cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the "Manage cookies" button (in the page footer and at the bottom of this page). Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies for any site.

5. Third parties

Some cookies come from the providers that help us run the app (hosting, authentication and, with consent, analytics). They act on our instructions; see our Privacy Policy for who they are and what they receive.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. Questions: legal@faltan.app.
